Enablement training

In our perception CBR staff should be creative problem solvers, being able to propose out-of-the-box solutions for problems met in the field. We enhance reflective reasoning skills in our training, building on the experiential learning cycle. We offer both regular and tailor-made courses in Community Based Rehabilitation and Disability Inclusive Development.

We receive requests for scholarships on a regular basis. We are fully aware of the fact that small organisations such as DPOs often lack the means to finance participation in our courses. However, Enablement is not a funding agency and is therefore not in a position to offer scholarships. We advise prospective participants to try and search for funds:

  • with your own employer
  • with the donor or donors of your organisation
  • within the professional network of the organisation
  • in case you're living with a disability yourself, you may find a scholarship through a Government Fund in your country

Cancellation policy for all courses offered by Enablement (see also the general terms and conditions)

The training agreement with individuals applying for courses will come into force two weeks after the signing of the contract. When contracts are signed between sending organisations, trainees, as well as Enablement the signing by all parties, is legally binding from the moment that all parties have a copy of the training agreement that is signed by all parties.

If you wish to cancel your place on a course, we will refund the fee according to the number of weeks before the course that you notify us of this. To cancel your place on the course we require written notification.

  • More than 4 weeks: 100% refund
  • Between 2 to 4 weeks: 50% refund
  • Less than 2 weeks or not attending the course: 10% refund

Enablement reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course up to 2 weeks before the course in the unlikely event that it is undersubscribed. In these cases, participants will be offered alternative dates, a credit note or a full refund. Please take this into account if you are booking flights.

In the unlikely event that a course has to be cancelled within 2 weeks of the course start date by reason of force majeure, (war, civil unrest, fire, flood, action by any government, or any event beyond the reasonable control of Enablement) we shall promptly notify participants and seek alternative solutions. In the event of the course being terminated by reason of force majeure, Enablement is unable to reimburse any participant expenses relating to cancellation. Such expenses may include, but not be limited to: visa costs, and transport cancellation fees.
